So Oprah doesn’t like golliwogs?
What do you think about reports that at least one store here in Australia has removed certain golliwog dolls while Oprah Winfrey is here? Pandering to political correctness or kissing ass?
One way to look at it is that yeah, some yanks will be offended if they see the dolls and this could result in cash-laden Americans walking out of the store, wallets still in their pockets.
On the other hand, they might just come to the store just to see what the fuss is all about, to see the doll that no store in their homeland would dare stock. Hard to imagine not making some sales.
