Audition? Yeah right. Good to hear you’re listening to the right people on this, she’ll probably get the same answer from any Mal or Pete trained copywriter and start thinking it’s us who are wrong, not that we care. I have always fired bad clients even at times when I had literally no other copy to write. Keep it up and thanks for the comment mate.

Love the story mate. I can relate to that entirely as I experienced something similar a few weeks ago. Basically the propsect was wanting me to jump through hoops and ‘audition’ to write her copy.

It’s a trap that copywriters will fall into. The trap of excepting clients just because it’s experience and money. But as Pete and Mal say, ‘Fire Bad Clients Fast’

If you do not mind me asking, just what are you using to prevent junk responses? I noticed your site is nice and totally free from all the spam bots leaving comments. I own another blog myself, and I like to keep comments open so I don’t have to come on and approve them all the time, but the spam plugins I’ve tried are failing to stop even the most obvious and simple spam responses. Is there something decent out there that does a good job or is my only hope to keep them moderated or just simply close them all together? Thank you, Scarlet Wiley
