Pain of disconnect

I’m in trouble with the Mrs again, and one surefire way she knows to get me well trained again is to take away that nice meal cooking in the kitchen.

So if I don’t do what she wants(or at least give the appearance of doing so) she’s got this copywriting strategy not one in ten business owners use: pain of disconnect.

Another example is a free autoresponder I came across recently. Thought it was worth a look, but when I tried to unsubscribe from the emails I was told my autoresponder would also stop working. I only set up one on one site but the thought of going through all that again…I still get the emails.

How can YOU implement this into your business? How can you provide an ongoing service along with any product you sell?

For years it’s been done with newsletters. But now technology can help you with this. Membership sites, PLR sites, are based on this concept.

Do you do web design? How can you get your clients onto a hosting plan where they lose the site, or a major part of it if they leave you. Virtually any business can offer some kind of ongoing premium service your clients won’t want to stop getting.

It’s like the dating scene – night after night of torture and mind games but still hundreds of dollars a night are spent. Any ideas on how to capture THAT market?
